All PAD products are made in the USA. There are both polemical and
practical reasons for this decision. Firstly, an acknowledgement of the
illustrious tradition of manufacturing in the USA, in particular
Southern California, where aerospace and other industries have left
us a tremendous legacy of high quality precision manufacturing in a
multitude of fields. Many of these manufacturers are still in business.
Secondly, by using local manufacturing we limit the huge (and often impractical)
minimums and lead times that are a consequence of the cost saving use of overseas
production. In addition, the use of local production allows the experience and
expertise of our manufacturers to become an asset to our design process. You can
see and experience the value of this dialog between design and production in
every PAD product.
